I can help you. I can counsel and support you. I support victims of domestic violence on their path toward a self-determined life.
About my job:
- I counsel boys and men who solve their problems using violence
- I counsel men who are experiencing violence themselves.
I counsel you when you have a personal crisis.
For example:
- You beat or insult your partner.
- You beat or insult your children.
- You often solve your problems using violence.
- You are experiencing violence yourself.
Special projects:
- Together with my SKM colleagues from Mönchengladbach, Düsseldorf, Köln and Warendorf, I am responsible for the Freiraum It offers men protection from domestic violence.
- We also hold meetings for men in cooperation with three more institutions.
- Since 2021, SKM Mönchengladbach-Rheydt has been operating a facility to protect men from violence.

SKM Mönchengladbach is a member of the Crises and Violence Counseling Network for men and boys in the Federal SKM Association.
My name is Christoph Föhles.
I hold a degree in social work and have been working at SKM Mönchengladbach since 1998. I support homeless people and counsel men.
These are my additional qualifications:
- I have completed training to become a Phaemo® counselor focusing on counseling boys and men in situations of crisis or violence.
